Roll out an eco home programme
“Oi Gordon, can’t you start using tougher minimum standards, generous financial support and better information to cut home emissions?”
Boost energy efficiency
“Gordon, we could create a massive programme to ensure that energy is used more sensibly and efficently couldnt we?”
Clean up coal
“Hey Gordon why arent you investing our money into cutting emissions from coal-fired power stations?”
Toughen planning policies
“Hey Gordy, make it that all new developments to get a fifth of their energy from renewables. reward local planners that reduce carbon emissions in their area”
Set local Government targets
“Gordon, you could enforce that you require all local goverments to cut carbon emissionas by 40 per cent by 2020 in their area. Woking has shown a 50 per cent cut is possible.”
